Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

  • Be Singapore citizens.
  • Have excellent academic records with strong proficiency and motivation in research aligned with SMU’s core areas.
  • Hold one of the following backgrounds:
    • Have just completed undergraduate studies, or
    • Have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (with or without work experience), or
    • Be currently enrolled in an overseas PhD programme.
  • Show a keen interest in an academic career at SMU (scholars will be considered for Assistant Professor tenure-track positions after completion).
  • Possess a degree in any of the following fields (not limited to):
    • Accountancy
    • Business
    • Computer Science
    • Economics
    • Law
    • Statistics
    • Social Sciences (various disciplines)
