Eligibility Criteria for Vice-Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for China:

Applicants must:

  • be citizens or permanent residents of China
  • be applying as new international students for full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at the University of Waikato (New Zealand)
  • hold a conditional or unconditional offer of place from the university
  • have a minimum academic achievement equivalent to a B+ GPA
  • not already be enrolled at the University of Waikato
  • not be sponsored or entering via exchange/credit transfer arrangements
  • not have paid tuition fees or applied for a visa at the time of application.

Value of Vice-Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship for China:

Provides a tuition fee credit of up to NZD $15,000 for undergraduate study and up to NZD $10,000 for postgraduate study.
