Overview

The Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste, Government of Chhattisgarh, offers Post-Matric Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC, Chhattisgarh 2024 to students pursuing post-matriculation studies. The scholarship is intended to help students from Chhattisgarh who are members of the SC, ST, or OBC communities pursue higher education. The chosen applicants will get up to INR 3,800 annually.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC, Chhattisgarh:

  • Students need to be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh state.
  • Students should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
  • Students must be studying in Class 11 or above in a recognized state institution.
  • Students should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the previous examination.

Students' annual family income criteria:

  • for OBC students: not more than INR 1,00,000 
  • for SC/ST students: not exceed INR 2,50,000

Value of the Scholarship:

  • SC/ST hostellers will receive a scholarship worth INR 3,800 per annum
  • SC/ST non-hostellers will receive a scholarship worth INR 2,250 per annum
  • OBC hostellers in Class 11 will receive a scholarship worth INR 1,000 per annum and non-hostellers INR 600 per annum.
  • OBC hostellers in Class 12 will receive a scholarship worth INR 1,100 per annum and non-hostellers INR 700 per annum.
