Eligibility Criteria for DAAD Re-invitation Programme for Former Scholarship Holders 2026:
- Be a former holder of a DAAD research grant or study scholarship funded for more than six months by the German Federal Foreign Office or in a co-financed program.
- OR be a former East German scholarship holder who studied in Germany for at least one year.
- Not have lived in Germany for at least three years prior to the planned visit.
- Have research or a working project coordinated with a cooperation partner in Germany.
- Be able to undertake the stay in Germany in 2026.
- Accept that funding may only be claimed once within three years.
Value of DAAD Re-invitation Programme for Former Scholarship Holders 2026:
- Monthly payments:
- €2,000 – assistant teachers, assistant professors, lecturers
- €2,150 – professors
- Travel allowance, unless covered by home country or other source
- Additional support for disability or chronic illness (if needed and justified)
