The International Accommodation Award helps new international students settle into university while reducing the cost of studying in the UK. It is available to eligible students on Foundation, Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes. Students completing a foundation year or progressing from the International Foundation Programme to an Aberystwyth undergraduate degree may receive additional accommodation support in their second year. Students returning to Aberystwyth for another degree may also be eligible, subject to availability and the relevant requirements.
The award normally covers accommodation in Cwrt Mawr, or another University-managed residence where necessary. Accommodation options are subject to availability and the award’s terms and conditions.
Eligibility Criteria for the International Accommodation Award at Prifysgol Aberystwyth University 2027:
- Applicant must be classified as a new student paying international tuition fees.
- Applicant must be admitted to an eligible programme of study at Aberystwyth University.
- Applicant must have applied for the relevant course by 1 August.
- Applicant must meet the standard academic entry requirements for the chosen programme.
- Applicant must be enrolled in an eligible Foundation, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme.
- Applicant must not be a BSc Nursing student.
- Applicant must not be paying home tuition fees.
