The Forrest Research Foundation Scholarships 2024

The Forrest Research Foundation collaborates with five partner universities to offer PhD scholarship programs to top researchers from Australia and globally. The Forrest PhD Scholars would benefit from substantial financial aid, guidance, and career advancement opportunities, enabling them to surpass their career goals and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have applied for PhD enrolment as an internal student based at a Western Australian campus of one of the five specified Western Australian universities.
• Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of First Class Honours standard or equivalent.
• Applicants must have a minimum of 3.95 GPA in their undergraduate and/or graduate degrees.
• The applicant's proposed doctoral research should be innovative and exciting.
• Applicant must be intending to reside at Forrest Hall.
• Applicant must be eligible to enroll full-time at a Western Australian university by the date of commencement of the scholarship.

Application Process:

• Interested candidates must submit an online application form along with the following documents:
  • CV,
  • Copies of all academic transcripts,
  • Contact details of four referees,
  • Passport-sized photograph.

Value of the Scholarship:

• Selected candidates are awarded the following benefits:
  • Research training program stipend.
  • Accommodation allowance of up to AUD 24,128.
  • Relocation and research travel allowance of up to AUD 12,000.
  • International Forrest Scholars will also receive an Australian Government International Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship or equivalent university international fee scholarship which covers the full international tuition fees and overseas student health cover.
  • Domestic Forrest Scholars will receive an Australian Government Domestic Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship which provides an exemption from the requirement to pay tuition fees for the duration of the scholarship.
