Overview

Australian National University has initiated the University Research Scholarship to support high-achieving HDR students who are conducting research that aligns with the strategic directions of the University.

Eligibility Criteria for the ANU University Research Scholarships:

  • Applicants must be domestic students or international students enrolled in an accredited HDR course of study at the University
  • Applicants must have achieved a minimum of H1 or H1 equivalent in their prior studies.
  • Applicants must provide English Language requirements.
  • Applicants must demonstrate an excellent academic record.
  • The award will be available each year to a prospective or continuing student.

Application Process:  

All eligible candidates are automatically considered for the scholarship.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants of the ANU University Research Scholarships will receive a stipend of the value of $40,475 per annum along with the following benefits:

  • Travel and Removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra to commence their research program.
  • Thesis allowance.
  • Dependant Child allowance (International students only)
  • Paid medical, maternity, and parental leave.
