PhD Positions In Image Guided Therapy, University Of Bern

The European Union is funding the Ph.D. positions in Image Guided Therapy and many other areas, the University of Bern with European academic and clinical institutions, the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research and Medicine of the University Hospital Inselspital (both University of Bern). The focus is mainly on the minimally invasive liver and abdominal surgery.

Eligibility

• The applicants for the Ph.D. positions in Image Guided Therapy, University of Bern should be experienced in machine learning, computer vision, and probability/ statistics.
• The candidates are expected to have a masters degree or its equivalent in fields of engineering, biomedical engineering, computer sciences, applied mathematics, physics etc.
• The students should have skills in python/MATLAB or C/C++.
• The applicants should also have good spoken and written communication skills and should show a willingness to pursue research abroad.
• The candidates are should be able to work in a group with engineering and medical experts.
