Eligibility Criteria for the Fay Marles Scholarship:

Applicants must:

Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen.
Apply for and meet entry requirements for a graduate research degree.
Be planning to undertake future study (Master by research or PhD).
Demonstrate disadvantaged or compassionate circumstances (explained in application).
Submit a personal statement and supporting documents..

Value of the Fay Marles Scholarship:

A living allowance of $39,500 per year pro rata (2026 full-time study rate) for up to 2 years for students undertaking a Master by research degree or up to 3.5 years for students undertaking a Doctoral degree. The living allowance may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick, maternity and parenting leave.
A relocation grant of $2000 for students moving from States or Territories other than Victoria or $3000 for students moving from outside Australia.
