Overview

The VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra, launched the Post-Matric Scholarship to VJNT Students, Maharashtra 2024/25, as a way to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in Class 11 through Ph.D. programs. The program gives VJNT category students a monthly maintenance allowance of up to INR 425 in addition to other incentives, enabling them to pursue higher education.

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship to VJNT Students, Maharashtra 2025:

  • Students need to be domiciled in Maharashtra.
  • Students should belong to the Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes (VJNT) category.
  • Students must be studying in Class 11 to the Ph.D. level approved by the government, starting from the post-matric level.
  • Students should have secured 75% attendance for the current year.
  • Students must have an annual family income of less than or equal to INR 1,50,000.

Application Process:

Students should submit an application form ONLINE only.

  • Caste certificate issued by a competent authority/Caste validity certificate
  • Caste validity certificate (Note:- Mandatory for Professional Degree courses and Professional Post Graduate courses. Not mandatory for Non-Professional courses)
  • Marksheet of HSC or SSC or last examination
  • Gap certificate (Not mandatory, but required in case of a gap)
  • Father/Guardian's death certificate
  • Ration card
  • Leaving certificate
  • Income certificate/declaration issued by a competent authority
  • Declaration certificate of parents/guardians about the number of children beneficiaries
