Overview

The China Scholarships Council (CSC) / Victoria University Scholarship Scheme is a doctoral scholarship program offered in collaboration between the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Victoria University of Wellington. This program allows selected Chinese students to enroll at Victoria University of Wellington and undertake doctoral studies. Upon successful completion of the program requirements, including defending their dissertation, students will be conferred degrees by the Victoria University of Wellington.

Eligibility Criteria for China Scholarships Council (CSC) / Victoria University Scholarship Scheme 2025:

  • Applicants must be Chinese nationals.
  • Applicants must be admitted into the PhD program at Victoria University of Wellington.
  • Applicants must complete the requirements of the designated program.

Application Process:

  • Interested candidates must submit an online application.
  • The candidates must submit the supporting documentation, including the references.

Value of the Scholarship:

Fees, upon further application travel and health insurance may be granted.

Note: CSC will consider applications for living expenses. Candidates applying for the March 1 round must inform pg-research@vuw.ac.nz immediately upon applying.
