Overview

The Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship (MDHS), which was made possible by a gift from Kathleen Mary Johnston, is given to students who take part in clinical attachments to British hospitals that are approved for training toward fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of England, or who attend educational courses run by or in affiliation with the college.

Eligibility for Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship (MDHS):

  • The ideal candidate would be an exceptional graduate researcher who is currently enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences.
  • The candidate needs to be a medical graduate enrolled in the Melbourne Medical School's graduate research program.
  • The candidate must participate in a clinical attachment at one or more UK hospitals approved for training toward fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of England, OR the candidate must complete educational courses offered by or in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
  • Applicant must meet the PhD admission requirements set forth by the Faculty.
