The University of Auckland Senior Health Research Scholarship is offered for domestic and international students paying domestic fees, to support health professionals returning to the University to study for a doctorate in health-related areas.
Eligibility for the University of Auckland Senior Health Research Scholarship:
Applicants must:
- Have worked as a health professional for at least three years.
- Be applying for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMedSc) at the University of Auckland.
- Indicate in their doctoral application that they wish to be considered for a University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship.
- Meet the academic merit and research proposal quality requirements.
- Be domestic students or international students eligible to pay domestic fees.
- Not already holding a doctoral degree.
- Apply before receiving an offer of place in the doctoral programme.
- Meet all doctoral admission requirements of the University.
Value of the University of Auckland Senior Health Research Scholarship:
- Up to NZD $40,590 per annum (tax-free).
- Covers compulsory tuition fees, the Student Services Fee, and single-student health insurance (for eligible international students).
- Tenure: Up to 36 months full-time (or 72 months part-time).
