Eligibility:
- Candidates must be identified as Aboriginals or Torres Strait Islanders people.
- Eligible candidates can take up any field of cardiovascular health research including public health, clinical, biomedical and health service delivery.
- Applicant must be involved in Cardiovascular Research from an NHMRC administering institution.
- Applicant must also be based in Australia for at least 80% of the funding period.
- Research must provide benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or communities. This should be described in the application with relevance to the NHMRC Ethical Guidelines.

- Two referee endorsements
- Proof of citizenship or permanent residency
- Proof of Ph.D./Masters enrolment or letter from the Administering Institution
- Proof of Aboriginality
