The Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, offers merit scholarships for SC/ST/OBC/Delta to undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program students. This scholarship aims to give SC, ST, and OBC students financial support. The chosen pupils will get up to INR 24,000 a year.
Eligibility Criteria for Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students, Delhi:
- Students need to be an Indian citizen.
- Students should be a domicile of Delhi.
- Students must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
- Students should have obtained at least 60% marks in the previous academic year.
- Students must have an annual family income of less than INR 3,00,000 per annum.
Students must be studying a UG degree in one of the following subjects in a recognized college or professional/technical institution:
- Medical
- Engineering
- B.Sc. (Agri)
- Veterinary Science
- Forensic Science
- Higher Technical and professional studies
- Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S)
- Comparable course in Ayurvedic, Unani/ Tibbia, and Homeopathy systems of Medicine
- Technical /professional and vocational courses
Students should hold a diploma in one of the following subjects in a recognized college or professional/technical institution:
- Engineering
- Technology
- Architecture
- Printing Technology
- Overseer
- Draftsman Surveyor
- Hotel Management
- Catering
- Applied Nutrition
- Commercial Pilot License
- Wireless & TV Operator
- Sound Recording Engineering
- Photography

- Indian medicine B.A.M.S
- Comparable course in Ayurvedic
- Unani/Tibbia and Homeopathy System of Medicine

Application Process:
Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.
Documents:
- Caste certificate in the name of student or father issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner (Revenue),
- Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT)
- Marksheet/certificate of the previous academic year
- Income certificate issued by competent authorities (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi)
- Domicile certificate by the competent authority (Government of NCT of Delhi)
- Gap certificate (in case of a gap in studies for up to 3 years)
Note:
Applicants who are receiving stipends from institutions or the Government (during the course) are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
