International Excellence Scholarships at University of Leeds 2026

Eligibility Criteria for International Excellence Scholarships at University of Leeds 2026:

Applicants must:

• Be classified as an international student for fee purposes.
• Have a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible taught Masters course starting in September 2026.
• Be self-funded or partially funded.
• Demonstrate excellent academic achievement, predicted or achieved at minimum a Bachelor’s degree with 2:1 (Hons) or equivalent.
• Show excellent professional and personal skills, evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities.

Excluded courses:

• MBA programmes (covered by the MBA Excellence Scholarship).
• All fully online courses.

Value of International Excellence Scholarships at University of Leeds 2026:

• £3,000, £6,000, or £16,000 tuition fee reduction.
• This is a fee reduction applicable only for the first year.

Application Process:

• Students can apply only after receiving a conditional or unconditional offer for a Masters course.
• A separate application is required for each course if multiple offers are received.
• Complete an online application form.
• Include:
  • Leeds student ID
  • Leeds application ID
  • A 100‑word statement explaining why you want to study at Leeds and why you should be considered for the scholarship.

Deadline:

There are two application rounds for the International Excellence Scholarship: 

• Round 1: Apply by 5 pm GMT on 27 February 2026 - notified by 27 March 2026.
• Round 2: Apply by 5 pm BST on 15 May 2026 - notified by 12 June 2026.
