Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Graduate Scholarship 2026

Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Research Scholar Program is a fellowship designed to support experienced researchers and academics from the Baltic States to conduct advanced research in the United States. It aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the U.S. and the Baltic region while enhancing professional development and international research impact.

Eligibility for Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Graduate Scholarship:

Applicants must:

• Be professors or senior academic/research professionals
• Typically hold a PhD or equivalent research experience
• Be a citizen or permanent resident of Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania
• Propose an independent or collaborative research project in the U.S.
• Demonstrate a strong academic track record and leadership potential
• Show how the research will benefit their home institution or country
• Agree to return to their home country after completion (often with a residency requirement)

Value of the Scholarship:

The scholarship covers:

• Participant round-trip airfare
