Faculty of Social Sciences Partial Tuition Fee Waiver at KU Leuven 2025

The Faculty of Social Sciences Partial Tuition Fee Waiver is offered at KU Leuven to support students from lower-income or lower-developed countries. The successful candidates are awarded a partial tuition fee waiver.

Eligibility Criteria of Faculty of Social Sciences Partial Tuition Fee Waiver at KU Leuven:

• Be admitted to one of the eligible Master’s or Advanced Master’s programmes at KU Leuven:
  • Master of Communication Sciences: Digital Media and Society (DMaS)
  • Master of International Politics (MIP)
  • Master of Sociology
  • Master of Advanced Studies in European Policies and Public Administration (MEPP)
• Legally hold the nationality of an eligible lower-income or lower-developed country (see full list).
• Have obtained a first academic degree (BA or equivalent) in an eligible country (or exceptionally in another eligible country).
• Have received a formal Letter of Admission from KU Leuven for the chosen programme.

Application Process:

• Apply through the KU Leuven scholarship request form.
• Submit required documents:
  • Proof of formal acceptance by KU Leuven Admissions
  • Motivation letter (max. 500 words)

Value of the Scholarship:

The partial tuition fee waiver depends on the programme:

• Master of Communication Sciences: Digital Media and Society: tuition fees reduced to €1,651.10.
• Master of International Politics: tuition fees reduced to €1,651.10.
• Master of Sociology: tuition fee reduced to €1,651.10.
• Master of Advanced Studies in European Policies and Public Administration: tuition fees reduced to €4,591.10.
