PhD Scholarship in metabolic phenotyping 2024

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a strong academic background in the biological sciences, biochemistry, medicine, analytical chemistry, or a similar field to pursue a PhD in the application of metabolic phenotyping platforms to investigate the metabolic mechanisms defining healthy ageing. The chosen candidate will work out of the Australian National Phenome Centre (ANPC) at Murdoch University and will be involved in an international research project run by the Centre for Healthy Ageing.

Eligibility for PhD Scholarship in Metabolic Phenotyping:

• The Graduate Research Office at Murdoch University has prerequisites for applicants that must be met to be considered (first or upper-second-class Honours degree, master's degree by research, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge and research abilities in a pertinent field, as well as a strong motivation to work both alone and collaboratively to complete research projects on time, are requirements for applicants. Although not necessary, familiarity with analytical methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and mass spectrometry is advantageous.
