Eligibility Criteria for the Dr. Richard P. Garland Scholarship at the University of Canterbury 2025:

  • Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enroll, in a program for a research doctoral degree in the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at the university.
  • Applicants cannot hold the scholarship with any other doctoral scholarships.
  • Preference is given to citizens of Aotearoa New Zealand or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.

Value of the Dr. Richard P. Garland Scholarship at the University of Canterbury 2025:

Successful applicants will get a scholarship worth $30,000 per 120 points of enrollment plus 80% of tuition fees at the domestic rate.
