Overview

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, launched the Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students, Himachal Pradesh 2026, to offer financial aid to ST students in Himachal Pradesh who are pursuing postmatric level education. Up to INR 12,000 will be awarded as an academic allowance annually to the chosen pupils.

Eligibility Criteria for Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students, Himachal Pradesh 2026:

  • Students need to belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • Students should be a permanent resident/domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Students must be studying at Class 11 to postgraduate level at any recognized institution/university/college.
  • Students should not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship.
  • Students must have an annual income of less than INR 2,50,000.

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.

  • Aadhaar card
  • Domicile certificate
  • Student's passport-size photograph
  • Self-attested copy of previous academic mark sheet
  • Income certificate attested by a revenue officer
  • Caste certificate issued by the competent authority of State/UT
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)

Note:

The Divyang (disabled) students will receive an additional amount of INR 9,600 annually (for hosteller) and INR 7,200 annually (for day scholar).
