PhD scholarship in computational chemistry at RMIT University 2023

The PhD scholarship is funded by an ARC Discovery Project grant that looks into computational methods for using ionic liquids to improve the stability of biomolecules.

Eligibility criteria:

To be eligible, applicants must: 

• Have a first-class Honours or 2A Honours or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline of chemistry, physics, or mathematics.
• Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or international student meeting the minimum English language requirements.
• Provide evidence of adequate oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team.

A strong background in Linux, DFT, and molecular dynamics simulations is highly desirable.

Benefits:

The scholarship provides a stipend of $33,826 per annum for three years, and successful applicants will also be awarded a Tuition Fee Scholarship.
