The Government of Japan, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) are offering a fellowship for developing country nationals or non-space-faring countries.
The program aims to provide research opportunities in nano-satellites systems using the facilities available at Kyutech.
Eligibility
- The applicants for Basic Space Technology Initiative Fellowship Program should be non-space-faring or be developing country nationals.
- The applicants are expected to be nominated by their institutions.
- The candidates for a doctoral degree should have completed master's degree (5 years of a university degree) in engineering or related subjects.
- The candidates for master's degree should have completed bachelor's degree (4 years of a university degree) in engineering or related subjects.
- The applicants are expected to make the professional use of the experience gained during the fellowship.
How to apply?
- The candidates applying for Basic Space Technology Initiative Fellowship Program should first complete and submit the register form.
- The applicants will then get a confirmation e-mail where they will download the doc versions of the application form.
- The candidates should submit a nomination form, application form, details of academic background and a referee report form.
- The application form and other documents except referee reports should be sent electronically in word or PDF format to the web -address in the confirmation e-mail.
- The referee reports should be sent by email to the Post-graduate study on Nano-Satellite Technologies (PNST).
Value of the scholarship
- The recipients of Basic Space Technology Initiative Fellowship Program will be given about 145,000 yen per month for food, transportation, housing and other expenses.
- The recipients will also get an economy class air ticket from their home country to Narita International Airport or Fukuoka International Airport.
- The recipients will be given tuition fees, matriculation fees, and entrance examination fees.
