Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen or resident of one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
  • Hold a relevant Honours degree of sufficient standard for admission to a Master’s course at Durham University.
  • Not hold a Master’s degree or have previously studied at a university outside southern Africa.
  • Demonstrate active commitment and leadership in voluntary work (community development, youth/educational projects, charitable organizations, health/AIDs
  • awareness, human rights, social justice, and environmental sustainability). Evidence should go beyond paid job requirements.
  • Be able to provide evidence of English language proficiency meeting Durham University’s requirements.
