Deutschland Scholarship at University of Mannheim 2024

The Deutschland Scholarship is aimed at supporting exceptional students, providing them with financial assistance, and fostering their personal and social development alongside their academic pursuits. This scholarship is funded jointly by the federal government and private sponsors. In addition to financial support, scholarship holders have the opportunity for mentorship and networking with sponsors, facilitating further non-material assistance.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate must show outstanding academic performance at school and university is the primary selection criterion.
• Candidates' extra-curricular activities such as sports achievements and social involvement are also valued.
• Candidates' special personal circumstances, including migrant or non-academic backgrounds, are taken into consideration.

Value of the Scholarship:
Recipients receive EUR 300 per month, half of which is provided by the federal government and the other half by private sponsors and funding organizations.
The scholarship also offers opportunities for mentorship and networking with sponsors.

Application Process:

• Applicants must be enrolled in any bachelor’s, master’s, or state examination program at the University of Mannheim and complete their degree within the standard period of study.
• The application can be submitted while applying for a study place or during enrollment at the University of Mannheim.
• Required documents include a letter of motivation, CV, university entrance qualification, transcripts, degree certificates, proof of outstanding achievements, professional experience, social commitment, voluntary services, and any relevant special circumstances documentation.
• Applications must be submitted through the online portal.

Application deadlines vary based on the program and degree status:
For master's program applicants and enrolled students: March 27 to May 31, 2024.
For bachelor's program applicants: June 1 to July 15, 2024.
