Eligibility Criteria for Sanctuary Scholarships at University of Sheffield 2025:

Have humanitarian protection, limited leave to remain, or be an asylum seeker (or the dependent/partner of someone in these categories).
Have applied for asylum on arrival in the UK, before applying for university.
Be currently attending a school, college, or community/voluntary organisation able to provide a reference.
Hold an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course starting September 2026.
Not hold a qualification equal to or higher than the one applied for.
Be ineligible for UK student finance and ineligible for other University of Sheffield scholarships or bursaries.
Have no “no study” or restricted study immigration bail conditions.

Five fully funded scholarships for 2026 entry.
Covers full tuition fees.
Provides £10,300 per year for living costs.
