Description:
The GREAT Scholarships program is a joint initiative by the British Council and the UK Government, designed to attract some of the brightest postgraduates from around the world to study at UK universities. It is launched by the British Council together with 49 UK universities and supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.
Eligibility for the GREAT Scholarship Brunei:
- Applicants must hold a passport from an eligible country.
- Candidates must be classed as overseas fee payers and entirely self-funded.
- Students should hold an offer (conditional or unconditional) to start a one-year full-time master's degree on the provided subject list starting in October 2024.
- Candidates should have a background in extracurricular activities relating to their subject area and an evidenced interest in combatting climate change.
Value of the scholarship:
The University of Essex GREAT Scholarships are valued at GBP 10,000, which must be used towards the cost of tuition fees for a one-year taught Master's (MA, MSc) degree in climate change discipline offered at the University of Essex.
