SIM Award and Sports & Artistic Talent Award

The SIM Award and the Sports & Artistic Talent Award are prestigious scholarships designed for outstanding students who excel both academically and in extracurricular activities. These awards recognize exceptional students for their achievements in various fields and support them in continuing their studies.

Award Value and Disbursement

• Both awards offer a scholarship amount of S$15,000. The disbursement occurs in two parts:
• 1st disbursement at the time the award is granted,
  2nd disbursement after the review of final semester results.
• Importantly, there is no bond attached to the scholarship, providing students with greater flexibility.

Eligibility Criteria

• The SIM Award is for students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership qualities both inside and outside the classroom, while the Sports & Artistic Talent Award is for athletes with a proven track record or individuals with exceptional artistic talents, paired with strong academic performance.
• Applicants must be current students who have received at least one set of examination results from their undergraduate university partner.
• Open to Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and international students.
• Must have strong academic results and a significant record of community contributions and involvement in co-curricular activities.
• Applicants should possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Application Process

• Applications for the SIM Award and Sports & Artistic Talent Award open twice a year:
• March Application: Submissions are open from 1st to 15th March, with interviews conducted by the end of April or early May, and results announced in May or June.
• September Application: Submissions are open from 1st to 18th September, with interviews in October or November, and results announced in November or December.
• Applicants must submit a single application, along with all required documents, by the deadline.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

Supporting Documents

Applicants are required to submit:

• Official academic documents from Secondary to Tertiary Level, with English translations if necessary.
• Records of all co-curricular activities from Secondary to Tertiary Level.

Evidence of achievements or awards.

• Testimonials from industrial or professional attachments or National Service (if applicable).

Tenure and Conditions

• The scholarship is valid for the minimum period required to complete the full course of study as stipulated by the program.
• Scholars must adhere to academic standards and are expected to contribute to the SIM Global Education community.
• If the scholar's progress or behavior is deemed unsatisfactory, the scholarship may be withdrawn.
