The Rebecca M. Salokar Scholarship is intended to benefit students in the Department of Politics and International Relations who are enrolled in a pre-law course of study. Rebecca Salokar was a political science professor at FIU for 31 years. She served as Chair of the Department of Politics and International Relations, undergraduate adviser in political science, and associate director of the Institute for Public Policy and Citizenship Studies.
Eligibility for the Rebecca M. Salokar Scholarship:
- Applicants must be full-time FIU undergraduate students.
- Candidates must have a declared major in political science or international relations.
- Students should be on track to graduate in the current semester (Spring) or in one of the next two semesters (Summer or Fall).
- Candidates must have applied to FIU College of Law.

- Statement [750 words] indicating the applicant’s qualifications for the scholarship (awards will be made based on merit, need, and commitment to the community).
