Eligibility Criteria for University of Auckland Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarship:

  • Applicants must be Pacific students, New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents.
  • Applicants must be currently in their final year of study at a New Zealand secondary school or kura.
  • Applicants must be intending to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree or a Certificate of Health Sciences, followed by an undergraduate degree, at the University of Auckland in the following year.
  • Applications may also be considered for students who have completed at least Year 11 at a New Zealand secondary school or kura and, at the time of application, are studying overseas in an NCEA, IB, or CIE program or who have completed an NCEA, IB, or CIE program within the same year of application.

Value of the University of Auckland Pacific Academic Excellence Scholarship:

Up to $27,000 in total, comprising one year of catered accommodation in a Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland Hall of Residence in the first year plus $5,000 paid in installments.
