The current research group conducts studies in radiation biology with modern genetic and molecular methods. It provides an opportunity mainly to strengthen and develop students scholarly proficiency.
Subject Area of the International Postdoctoral position in Radiation Biology:
The current research in radiobiology in the research group is focused on better understanding of biological mechanisms in vivo after exposure to radionuclides or ionizing radiation externally. The applications studied are low-dose and dose rate exposure on normal tissues and high dose exposure for radionuclide therapy or external radiotherapy of cancer diseases. The work includes optimization of radiotherapy (high effects on tumour and low effects on normal tissues). Biomarkers are suggested and validated.
Eligibility Criteria of the International Postdoctoral position in Radiation Biology:

- The candidate must hold a doctoral degree for the position as postdoctoral at University of Gothenburg.
- The candidate must have a doctoral thesis relevant in the field of radiation biology, but otherwise related to biology, genetics, biotechnology or radiation sciences.
