Overview

Established in 2004, the Faculty for the Future program of the Schlumberger Foundation provides fellowships to women from developing and emerging economies so they can attend top universities across the world to pursue postdoctoral or Ph.D. studies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Eligibility for the Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship:

  • Applicants must have applied to, been accepted into, or be enrolled in a university abroad.
  • Candidates should have a strong academic background and demonstrate their dedication to both teaching and research, as well as use their scientific background to advocate for public policies.
  • Students must exhibit leadership qualities, a passion for community outreach, and a history of enticing young women into STEM professions.
  • Candidates should demonstrate their resolve to go back home and work in the public sector as well as in the teaching and research departments of their home universities to advance the economic, social, and technological development of their home countries.

Value of the Scholarship:

Successful applicants of the Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship will receive up to $50,000 annually from the university.
