The focus of the work of the Institute, the question of how research findings from the stands Life Sciences faster and more effectively in human useful medical therapies, diagnosis and prevention stock and clinical observations in the basic research can be transferred ( translational medicine ). At the institute, this translational research is interlinked with the interdisciplinary approach of system medicine. Investigating systemic medicine means investigating complex mechanisms and interactions in the human body, because many diseases are based on similar pathological mechanisms, even if they are quite different.
