Overview

Eligibility for DAAD - Study Scholarships For Foreign Graduates in Germany:

  • The programme is open to international applicants.
  • The recent degree of the candidate should not be more than six years old.
  • Candidates should not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months.
  • The applicants should have enrolled in a Master's or postgraduate degree programme.
  • If the applicants are from the fields of Drama and Direction, they are expected to have an excellent command in German. 
  • If the applicants are from the fields of Musicals, Dance, Performance Studies and Choreography should have at least a basic knowledge of German.
  • Applicants are also expected to have good knowledge of English.

Selection Criteria:

  • The candidates are selected by a special DAAD committee. The committee includes professors from German universities.
  • The selection of the candidates is based on written applications and work samples submitted.
