Overview

The Higher Education Scholarship Test (HEST):

HEST is the largest scholarship test in India, wherein students from top colleges in India compete for winning scholarships for their abroad education. This national-level test is powered by WeMakeScholars, an initiative funded and supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India, under the Digital India Campaign.

HEST Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant should be an Indian national with a valid Indian passport.
  • Applicants should have a minimum score of 55% in 10th and 12th.
  • Applicant NEED NOT produce the foreign university admission confirmation at the moment. It can be submitted later while receiving the scholarship cash award.
  • Those who will be self-funding their total expenses are NOT eligible for this scholarship program, as we believe they are financially stable enough to fund their studies. Our motto is to support the needy and financially weak students.

HEST Benefits:

This national-level scholarship test, organized by WeMakeScholars, an initiative supported by the Ministry of IT, has the following benefits:

  • Winners will receive a Scholarship cash reward of up to 3 lakh Rupees per student.

  • Yes, you can secure an education loan to study abroad at HEST Foundation. Education loans are of two types — Collateral and non-collateral. Collateral includes either: Immovable property – a house or a flat or land (or) liquid security – an FD, or LIC or shares or bonds. Agricultural lands are not accepted by any bank for education loan.

    Public banks like SBI, BOB offer these types of education loans. There are many NBFCs who offer Non-collateral education loans. Apply for the best education loan to study abroad.
