WDARF International Grants at Singapore 2023

The Workforce Development Applied Research Fund (WDARF) is a national-level research fund offered by the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency (SSG) to foster high-quality and rigorous applied research in the fields of workforce development and lifelong learning. It aims to support the key thrusts and national-level policies of the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency by encouraging interdisciplinary research and strengthening research capabilities through leveraging both local and international expertise.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The research must be conducted in Singapore and focus on Singapore.
• Eligible applicants include researchers in Singapore's Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs).
• Foreign institutions and researchers may partner with a Singapore institution to submit proposals for the grant call.

Value of the scholarship:

• Funding for research projects addressing one of the three research themes or the 2023 Challenge Statements related to continuing education and training (CET), adult learning, and workforce development.
• Support for firm-level research examining companies' roles in CET and its impact on companies.
• The grant is administered by the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) on behalf of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
• Proposals go through a technical expert review and evaluation before presentation to a Research Committee for approval.

Application Process:

• Interested applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by July 25, 2023, using the provided form.
• Only shortlisted applications will be invited to submit full proposals.

Deadlines:

Submission of Expression of Interest: June 22 to July 25, 2023.
