The Richard Trapp Scholarship in Classical Studies is to recognize the achievements of students in Classical Studies and to provide some modest financial support as part of that recognition of excellence.
Eligibility criteria for the Richard Trapp Scholarship in Classical Studies at San Francisco State University 2024:
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in the Classics major.
- Be a continuing student at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Classics and Classics-related courses (undergraduate applicants).
- Demonstrate promise of contributing to the field of Classics.
- Show evidence of professional or scholarly activities related to Classical Studies.
- Be enrolled full-time if an undergraduate student.
- Be enrolled in at least 1 unit if a graduate student.
- For graduate applicants, demonstrate promise as a future scholar of Classics and Classical archaeology.
- For entering graduate students, have already applied to the M.A. program before the scholarship deadline if seeking funding for their first fall semester.
