Richard Trapp Scholarship in Classical Studies is to recognize the achievements of students in Classical Studies and to provide some modest financial support as part of that recognition of excellence.
Eligibility criteria:
- Open to all nationals.
- Undergraduate students must have a 3.0 GPA in Classics, and related courses are required.
- Graduate students must show promise as future scholars in Classics and Classical archaeology.
- Entering students must apply for the M.A. program before applying for the scholarship.
- The minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 for both undergraduate and graduate students, with no requirement for high school GPA.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time, while graduate students need to be enrolled in at least 1 unit.
Application requirements:
- Undergraduates should submit a statement about their progress in learning Greek and/or Latin literature, language, and Classical material culture.
- Graduate students should submit a statement detailing their mastery of ancient languages and material culture, and their goals in pursuing graduate study in Classics.
- Check the box for "undergraduate" if you are an undergraduate student, or "graduate" if you are a graduate student.
