Sir Robert Peel Award at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

Sir Robert Peel recognized that successful policing depends on fairness, public cooperation, and service to the community above the use of force. His principles continue to inspire modern policing by emphasizing accountability, crime prevention, and strong relationships between police officers and the communities they serve.

Eligibility requirement for Sir Robert Peel Award at Holland College:

• Applicants must be graduating from the Police Science (Cadet) program’s winter cohort at the Atlantic Police Academy.
• Candidates must demonstrate principles valued by Sir Robert Peel, including fair play, community accountability, service before force, and proactive community policing.
• Applicants are required to submit an essay explaining how they demonstrate these policing values and the importance of crime prevention before law enforcement.

Value of the scholarship:

CAD 400 award is available to support a full-time student

Application Process:

• Confirm eligibility as a graduating cadet from the Police Science (Cadet) program’s winter cohort at the Atlantic Police Academy.
• Prepare and submit an essay describing how the applicant demonstrates fair play, community accountability, service before force, and the importance of crime prevention before law enforcement.
• Complete and submit the award application before the deadline of June 4, 2026.
