Southern Cross University Equity Scholarships is designed to assist with costs associated with higher education. Scholarships are generally awarded to students impacted with multiple disadvantages.
Eligibility requirement for Southern Cross University Equity Scholarships :
- Must be an eligible applicant who meets Australian citizenship or residency requirements (Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens, or permanent residents, including humanitarian visa holders).
- Must demonstrate low socio-economic status, typically through Centrelink income support, Family Tax Benefit (Part A), or other verified financial disadvantage.
- Must show evidence of additional disadvantage such as carer responsibilities, disability or medical condition, Indigenous background, English language difficulty, or sole-parent responsibilities.
- Must not fall under exclusion criteria, such as already holding a bachelor’s degree or receiving another high-value government or non-government scholarship.
Value of the scholarship:
A AUD 800 per unit, up to a maximum total value of AUD 4,800.
