Eligibility Criteria for Jenny Balston Scholarship at University of Edinburgh 2025:
Applicants must:
- Be accepted for admission to a full-time on-campus PhD in History (including History, Scottish History, Economic and Social History) at the University of Edinburgh for 2026/2027.
- Be eligible for home tuition fees.
- Hold a UK 2:1 or First-Class Honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Hold, or be expected to successfully achieve, a relevant Master’s degree with an overall mark of at least 65% or its international equivalent.
Value of Jenny Balston Scholarship at University of Edinburgh 2025:
- Annual stipend at the UKRI rate (for 2025/2026: £20,780).
- Tuition fees at the UK rate.
- Tenure: up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory progress.
