Eligibility Criteria of Sanctuary Scholarship for Postgraduate Students:
- Applicants must have applied and received an offer for an eligible Master’s programme starting in Autumn 2026 and must complete the Sanctuary Scholarship application form by 11:59 pm (UK time) on 24 April 2026.
- Applicants must also fall under one of the following immigration categories: a refugee, someone granted humanitarian protection or other protective leave (including Ukrainian schemes), or an asylum seeker who has submitted a claim for refugee status in the UK.
Application Process:
- Applicants must apply for an eligible Master’s course for 2026 entry, receive an offer by 11:59 pm (UK time) on 24 April 2026, and submit the Sanctuary Scholarship application form by the same deadline, including personal details, immigration status proof (or explanation), and a supporting personal statement.
- The personal statement should explain why the applicant chose Imperial, how the scholarship will support their future ambitions, the educational barriers faced due to their immigration status, and their financial circumstances, including how previous studies were funded and whether any other financial support is available.
Award: Full tuition fees, stipend of GBP 22,000, and GBP 1,500 equipment grant.
