Overview

The Leakey Foundation is offering fellowships to students from developing countries to get advanced education and training in paleoanthropology and primatology.

Eligibility for The Leakey Foundation-Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships:

  • The applicants should be citizens of developing countries.
  • The applicants must be attending a program of advanced training or studies leading towards a master’s degree or PhD either outside or inside the applicant’s home country.
  • The candidates must have a home sponsor from the university where they are affiliated in the home country.
  • The applicants should also have a host sponsor who is a member of the institution where they plan to pursue the training.
  • The host sponsors should be willing to take responsibility for the candidate’s training.
  • The applicant's home and host institutions should offer support in the form of financial assistance and employment in the home country upon completion of training.

Value of The Leakey Foundation-Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships:

The successful candidates are awarded a sum of up to $15,000 per year.
