Overview:
Established in 1995 by Drs. Min-sun and Anita B. Chen. Dr. Min-sun Chen, Professor Emeritus of History, was the Chair of the Department of History 1978-1984. Dr. Anita B. Chen, Professor of Sociology/Anthropology 1966, and the Department of Sociology in 1972. Awarded to a full-time international graduate student in a Social Science or Humanities graduate program. The award is based on financial need and a minimum A average.
Eligibility for M.S. & A.B. Chen LU 30th Anniversary International Graduate Bursary:
- Must be a full-time international graduate student enrolled in a Social Science or Humanities program at Lakehead University
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have a minimum cumulative average of “A” in previous studies
- Selection is based on a combination of financial need and academic excellence
