Overview

Outstanding overseas students can apply for a limited number of Global Excellence Scholarships, which cover 100% and 50% of the tuition fees. Depending on where you are applying from, there are many deadlines for applying for the scholarship. Five weeks following each regional deadline, the results will be made public.

Eligibility Criteria for UCD Global Excellence Scholarship 2026:

Applicants must:

  • Be classifiable as non‑EU/EEA for tuition fee purposes.
  • Have an offer, conditional offer, accept, or conditional accept status for an eligible programme before applying for the scholarship.
  • Be self‑funding.

Note: The Global Excellence Scholarship cannot be combined with any other tuition fee scholarship. 

The following are excluded:

  • Online programmes
  • Part‑time programmes
  • Clinical programmes
  • January start programmes
  • Offshore campus programmes
  • UCD International Study Centre Foundation Year pathway

Value of UCD Global Excellence Scholarship 2026:

There are two levels of funding available:

  • 100% tuition fee scholarship (full waiver)
  • 50% tuition fee scholarship (half waiver)

Application Process:

Applicants are required to submit an online application before the deadline.

Deadline:

  • 1 February 2026 – Undergraduate applicants (North America)
  • 28 February 2026 – Undergraduate & graduate taught applicants (Middle East, Africa, Pakistan; graduates from South Asia)
  • 31 March 2026 – All other applicants (undergraduate & graduate taught)
