Eligibility Criteria for the Dorothy Gooder Prize:

Applicants can be of any nationality.
Applicants must be students graduating from full-time studies in the Faculty of Education who have a special interest and aptitude in the teaching of special needs children.
Preference will be given to candidates interested in working with students with mental handicaps.
Applicants must show an interest, demonstrated through course work, in Special Education.
Applicants must have demonstrated academic achievement (minimum fall/spring GPA 3.) and experience with children with special needs during Professional Semester III.

Nominated by the Faculty of Education.

Value of the Dorothy Gooder Prize:

Successful applicants will receive an award of up to $800.
