Donovan-Johnston Postgraduate Memorial Scholarship at University of Melbourne

The Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship (MDHS) was established with a gift from Kathleen Mary Johnston and is offered to students who attend education courses conducted by or in association with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Eligibility criteria:

• Students need to be an outstanding enrolled graduate researcher of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences.
• Students must be medical graduates enrolled in a graduate research degree program at the Melbourne Medical School.
• Students should attend education courses conducted by or in association with the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
• Students should participate in a clinical attachment to one or more hospitals within the UK recognized for training towards fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
• Students must satisfy the Faculty's entry requirements for a PhD.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants are selected based on academic merit.

Students need to submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Value of University of Melbourne - Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarships in Australia, 2024:

Up to $30,000, shared among multiple applicants. This scholarship will normally pay for an economy return air fare, tuition, and accommodation and living costs for successful applicants.
