DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2025:

• Be German, or non‑German and permanently residing in Germany (or affiliated with a DAAD German/EU Studies Center outside the U.S.).
• Have completed a PhD or be actively working on a PhD (doctoral candidates).
• Submit all application materials in English by the deadline to AGI.
• Not have received DAAD support in the last three years prior to the fellowship start (exemptions apply to DAAD Center affiliates).
• Be proficient in English as research and presentations are conducted in English.
• Be eligible for travel/visa requirements.

Value of DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2025:

• Monthly stipend: approx. €2,800–€3,200 (depending on seniority).
• Travel support to/from Washington, DC.
• Research‑related travel funding to DAAD Centers for German and European Studies in North America.
• Office space and institutional support at AGI.
