Saint Dunstans University Health Studies Awards for Adult Education Learners at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

In 2024, the Saint Dunstan’s University Board of Governors created a series of entrance awards to support students from Prince Edward Island who wish to pursue careers in the healthcare field. The awards are meant to provide financial assistance to students who have completed courses through the Holland College Adult Education Program, who demonstrate financial need and who plan to live and work in Prince Edward Island after graduation.

Eligibility requirement for Saint Dunstan’s University Health Studies Awards for Adult Education Learners at Holland College:

• Be residents of Prince Edward Island.
• Have completed courses through the Holland College Adult Education Program.
• Be entering their first year of study in one of the eligible healthcare programs.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Intend to live and work in Prince Edward Island after graduation.
• Submit a short essay describing their post-graduation plans to remain and work in PEI.

Value of the scholarship:

The scholarship is awarded in the following way:

• Advanced Care Paramedicine – 1 x CAD 2,500
• Primary Care Paramedicine – 1 x CAD 3,000 
• Practical Nursing – 1 × CAD 3,000 
• Resident Care Worker – 1 x CAD 1,500

• Apply to be admitted to a healthcare program that meets your requirements.
• Before the deadline, finish the awards application.
• Verify your involvement in the Adult Education Program at Holland College.
• Write a brief essay explaining why you want to live and work in Prince Edward Island after graduation.
• Give the institution any extra documentation that it requests.
