Ryan Fellowship at Northwestern University 2024

Ryan Fellowship is offered by Northwestern University to support Ph.D. applicants of Northwestern University.

Eligibility for the Ryan Fellowship:

• The Ryan Fellowship, Northwestern University intended for graduate students.
• Applicants dedicated to the exploration of fundamental nanoscale science are welcome to apply.
• Applications are by departmental/program nomination only. 
• Applicants who are current Ph.D. students in their second or third year are eligible to apply.
• Candidates who demonstrate exceptional scientific talent are preferred.
• Applicants who are passionate and committed to a particular research project in the area of nanoscience and technology may be nominated.

Application Process:

Applications are by program nomination only. Current students should consult with their Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the program's internal deadline.

Documents Required:

• A cover sheet with the required details.
• Research Proposal.
• Letter of recommendation.
• A detailed copy of their CV.
• A sample of previous research or published paper.
• A copy of the unofficial Northwestern transcript.

Benefits:

The Ryan Fellowship includes a maximum two-year $12,500 award/year: $10,000/year as an additional stipend (divided evenly across 12 months each year) and a $2,500/year research award.
