Perth Eye Foundation Indigenous Optometry Scholarship at the University of Western Australia 2024

Introduction: 

The Perth Eye Foundation Indigenous Optometry Scholarship is a coursework scholarship offered to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying optometry at the University of Western Australia. It is provided by the Perth Eye Foundation, a charity focused on improving eye health and vision care, and aims to develop Indigenous eye health professionals through financial and professional support.

Eligibility requirements for the Perth Eye Foundation Indigenous Optometry Scholarship at the University of Western Australia:

• Applicants must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student.
• Be commencing or continuing the Doctor of Optometry program
• Be enrolled full-time at the University of Western Australia

Value of the scholarship:

• A full-time student will be awarded AUD 20,000.
  • Up to AUD 7,500 per year for general expenses and up to AUD 2,500 for skills development / professional development reimbursement
